10 Players to Reach For in Fantasy Football 2012

1.) Marshawn Lynch, SEA - Lynch is one of the few workhorse backs left in the league. He will receive almost all of the touches as well as the ones that matter - near the goal line. He is being drafted pretty high already, but if you have to reach for him it won't be a bad decision.
2.) Ryan Mathews, SD - I touted Mathews as a sleeper last year and he did not disappoint as he put up over 1,000 yards on the ground. With Mike Tolbert gone Mathews should see even more work and flourish in a strong Chargers offense.
3.) Roy Helu, WAS - Helu played well last year and was also a big factor in the pass game. Assuming that he receives the majority of carries I can see him putting up solid RB2 numbers and he could be even better in PPR leagues.
4.) Miles Austin, DAL - Tony Romo played really well last year and Austin is his number one receiver. With Dez Bryant taking some attention off him and Jason Witten being one of the best pass catching Tight Ends in the game, there will be plenty of opportunities for Austin.
5.) Julio Jones, ATL - In his rookie season Jones put up pretty solid numbers while playing through an injury. Now that he is healthy he should be even better. Roddy White will receive most of the attention and I can see Jones matching the production of his counterpart White.
6.) Kenny Britt, TEN - Britt is an absolute monster when he is healthy. If he manages to play a full season there is no reason that he shouldn't be among the top ten scorers at the Wide Receiver position.
7.) Larry Fitzgerald, ARI - Like Lynch, Fitzgerald is already being drafted high. The addition of Michael Floyd in the NFL draft will help draw some attention away from Fitz and his numbers should improve. Also, Kevin Kolb should play better than he did in 2011, assuming he wins the quarterback competition.
8.) Antonio Brown, PIT - Brown may be my favorite player who can be taken later in drafts. With Hines Ward gone he is the clear number two behind Mike Wallace and a favorite target of Ben Roethlisberger. I like him as a WR2 in drafts.
9.) Aaron Hernandez, NE - Hernandez may have the same problem as Brandon Lloyd (see players to avoid), but he is in a different position. New England does all kinds of things with their two tight ends and I can see Hernandez closing the gap between him and Gronkowski.
10.) Josh Freeman, TB - Freeman was a turnover machine in 2011 as the Buccaneers had a disappointing season. The addition of Vincent Jackson should help Freeman as well as his ability as a runner. He will be taken as a backup, but could prove to be a viable starter.
